About Me

Hi, I’m Scott—a creative web developer with a background in languages, teaching, and visual art. I originally studied German, English linguistics, and creative writing at university. In 2019, I moved to Germany and immersed myself in the language and culture, reaching fluency and working as both a private English teacher and a carer. These roles strengthened my communication skills and deepened my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. In 2023, I began teaching myself how to code and quickly discovered that web development offered the perfect blend of creativity and structure. What started as a curiosity soon turned into a passion. I now focus on front-end development, building clean, responsive websites that are both functional and visually engaging. My background in art—particularly oil painting and portrait sketching—has given me a strong eye for colour, composition, and design. I bring that same attention to detail and creativity to every project I build.This portfolio is a reflection of my journey so far. Qualifications/Skills

Bachalor of arts degree in languages focusing on German as a foreign languge, the history of the English language and English creative writing (2015-2022)

Completion of Udemy Courses including Java Script and advanced HTML/CSS/SASS (2023-2024)
